Interest:
As a PhD student and during my post doc studies I was mainly interested in the ecology, evolution, and biogeography of parasitic Hymenoptera. I was overwhelmed by the incredible diversity of parasitoid communities and became aware that ecology needs an interdiscpiplinary approach beyond the traditional division into plant, animal, and microbial ecology. Now I'm studying the biogeography and ecology of plant and animal communities at a global scale.
