Field station
The Department of Biology and Environmental Protection of the Nicolaus Copernicus University has a research field station located in the Bory Tucholskie protected forest area (North-Central Poland). The former Sobiny forestry buildings is used for research and teaching. The station is located deep in the forest complex far from human settlements and is an excellent place to monitor animal and plant populations and to conduct field work. We are looking forward to cooperate with other research centers in Poland and abroad to study the biodiversity of this unique European forest complex being part of the Bory Tucholskie Biosphere Reserve.
